Harry Potter Couple’s Maternity T-Shirts

Harry Potter Couple’s Maternity T-Shirts

Last fall I created a version of Skelly Baby wearing a Harry Potter costume with a griffin crest in the heart area. I kept thinking that I needed a matching dad-to-be t-shirt, and finally I had the inspiration to use butterbeer and magical candy: chocolate frog, flavour beans, blow gum and jelly slugs (love those names). So now it’s also up as a couple’s t shirt version, either with a maternity t-shirt (as pictured) or using a unisex shirt for mama instead of a maternity shirt.

Initially I created the listings using unisex shirts in place of maternity shirts because a customer requested it. She weren’t very far along and didn’t want to wear a maternity shirt. My feedback on that shirt was mixed, because it is a standard mens/unisex shirt, and it was not as soft as a woman’s tee. So I have now switched out the unisex/mama shirt in those listings to a different brand. It is still a mens/unisex style of shirt, but the fabric is lighter, soft and has a little stretch. Customer feedback was thumbs up! The daddy shirt remains the original standard mens t shirt (heavier in weight).

Here are the two listings in the Gladditudes Etsy store:

You can also go to the Couple’s T-shirts page on this website where I offer the same designs. These shirts are made and shipped by my fulfillment partner, and offer a wider range of shirt styles. If you are looking for something specific like a tank top, long sleeve shirt or hoodie, just contact me and I will add that style to the selections for that design.

I am branching out! I have been designing t-shirts for years now, with the orders going through a fulfillment partner. Then, in 2015 I dipped my toe in the pool of Etsy, creating a shop and posting some iron-on transfer listings. I expanded into making my own Skelly Baby maternity and couples shirts in 2016 (cutting vinyl transfers and heat pressing), selling through Etsy. Now I’m in the process of sorting through many of my designs from the last few years, updating them and listing them as iron-on transfers or downloadable svg cutting files (or both!).

I LOVE getting new fonts or downloadable vectors with which I can create my own designs. So I’d like to post some freebies here from time to time.

Today’s offering is a little chick having just broken out of it’s shell. It’s cute on it’s own, or you can make an adorable Easter onesie for a newborn by including the “Just Hatched” phrase.
